Brushing Up on Technology

Practical technology coaching for everyday life

Technology changes quickly, and not everyone has had the time—or the desire—to keep up with every new app, update, password reset, or platform.

If you feel behind, overwhelmed, or frustrated trying to manage everyday technology, you are not alone.

MyLearnTech Lab offers patient, one-on-one virtual tech coaching for adults who want to feel more confident using the tools they rely on at home, at work, and in everyday life.

Whether you want to get more comfortable with email, devices, accounts, online forms, file organization, or simply understanding how your phone and computer work together, sessions are tailored to your goals, your pace, and your real-life needs.

Who This Is For

Technology moves fast, and life moves faster. If you've spent your time raising a family, caring for a loved one, or building a career, it's easy to fall behind and hard to know where to start catching up.

This coaching may be a good fit if you:

  • Feel behind on technology and aren't sure where to begin

  • Spent years focused on family, caregiving, or work, and technology took a back seat

  • Are starting a new job or changing roles and want to be ready for the tools you'll be expected to use

  • Want to keep your edge and stay current

  • Haven't felt the need to keep up until now, and you're ready to change that

You don't need to be "good with computers," and you don't need to know where to start. That's my job.

Why MyLearnTech Lab

MyLearnTech Lab offers practical, person-centered coaching for adults who want to build confidence with technology in real life—not just in theory.

MyLearnTech Lab is designed for adults who want clear guidance without being rushed, talked down to, or buried in technical language.

This is a space where you can ask questions, learn at your own pace, and strengthen the skills that matter in your daily life.

What We Can Work On

Sessions are personalized, but common topics include:

Email basics and attachments

Passwords, logins, and account access

Google Workspace, Proton, Microsoft products

Digital tools, such as Adobe

Virtual meeting spaces, such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Proton Meet

Phone, tablet, and laptop settings

Managing photos, documents, and storage

Understanding how devices work together

Safer online habits and scam awareness

Using AI tools for work, school, or everyday tasks

If you need help with something specific, that is okay.

You shouldn't feel left behind by technology. Coaching is centered on the tools and tasks you actually use.

Step 2 - Tell Me What You're Working With

On the booking form, share your questions or the tools you'd like help with — email, your phone, a specific program, whatever's been frustrating you.

Not sure how to describe it? That's completely okay. Tell me what you've been trying to do and we'll figure out the rest together.

Step 3 - Meet One - On - One

We'll meet virtually on Zoom for personalized guidance at your pace and comfort level.

No rushing.

No jargon.

No assumptions about what you should already know.

What To Expect

Before We Meet

You'll get an email with a link to join our Zoom session. On a computer, there's nothing to install. Just click the link. If you're using a tablet, Zoom may ask you to download its free app first. I'll walk you through that quick, one-time step. If you'd like a practice run beforehand to make sure everything works, just ask. That's a normal request, not a bother.

What You'll Need

A computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera, and an internet connection. That's it. If there's a device, non-banking or financial account, or program you want help with, have it nearby, but don't worry if you're not sure where to start. Virtual sessions can't be held from a smartphone, but you can still bring your phone questions. Join from a computer or tablet and keep your phone nearby.

When We Begin

We'll start by talking, not clicking. You'll tell me what's been frustrating or confusing, and I'll listen. There's no test and no assumption about what you should already know.

During The Session

We'll go at your pace — slowly, with as much repetition as you'd like. You can share your screen so I can see exactly what you're seeing, though that's always your choice.

When We Finish

You'll know what to practice and how to reach me. If this was a single session, my door stays open — book again anytime, whether that's next week or next year.

If you have more sessions ahead, we'll schedule them and talk about what to work on next.
